Massive Inferno Guts Mattress Factory in Byrnihat; Workers Scramble for Safety

There have been no immediate reports of casualties, though the psychological toll on the workers who fled the burning building remains high.

BYRNIHAT: A massive fire broke out today at a prominent mattress manufacturing unit in Amjok village, Byrnihat, sending shockwaves through the local community and reduced the entire facility to ashes.

The blaze erupted at Ummadat Foam Industries, owned by businessman Adarsh Jhunjhunwala, transforming a routine afternoon into a scene of absolute chaos.

According to eyewitness reports and factory officials, the disaster struck at approximately 3:00 PM. The workers had just returned to their stations after their lunch break when the unthinkable happened.

While cutting foam for mattress production, a specialized machine suddenly sparks and burst into flames. In a matter of seconds, the fire caught onto the highly flammable foam materials, spreading with terrifying speed through the factory floor.

As the flames leaped toward the ceiling, thick plumes of black smoke could be seen from miles away. The rapid spread of the fire triggered a mass panic among the factory staff and residents living in the immediate vicinity of the industrial area.

“The fire was uncontrollable,” stated the factory owner, Adarsh Jhunjhunwala. “It started at the cutting machine and moved so fast that we couldn’t suppress it. The loss is massive.”

While the exact monetary value of the damage is still being assessed, the destruction is described as total. Raw materials, finished goods, and expensive machinery have all been consumed by the inferno.

Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of casualties, though the psychological toll on the workers who fled the burning building remains high. Local authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the mechanical failure that led to the spark.
