Shillong, November 4: Police have recovered a human skeleton from Rachi Forest near Mookyndur village in West Jaintia Hills district on October 30.
According to police, despite conducting an inquest and completing all necessary formalities, the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
Items recovered from the site include a red thread, three keys, and a safety pin, which were found near the skeletal remains.

Superintendent of Police Jagpal Singh Dhanoa has appealed to the public for any information that could help identify the deceased.
Police have urged anyone with relevant information or those wishing to claim the body to contact the nearest police station or call 6002152968 / 9774065467 within five days.
