SHILLONG: North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum has strongly condemned the alleged NEET examination paper leak, demanding that those responsible be brought to justice without leniency.
He also criticized the Delhi Police for their aggressive response toward protesting students, stating that authorities have failed to maintain proper governance and order.
Nongrum voiced his concerns while attending a demonstration organized by the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) at Khyndailad, Shillong, in solidarity with students protesting in Delhi.

Addressing the gathering, Nongrum said his primary intent was to denounce the malpractices surrounding the exam and to extend full support to the movement in Delhi.
He emphasized that the crisis is not limited to other states, as youth from Meghalaya are equally affected.
Highlighting the systemic breakdown, Nongrum asserted that any government in power must take full responsibility to restore faith in the system, warning that when the system fails, hope is lost for the youth.
He further criticized the overall educational framework, claiming that the Education Policy has failed drastically and alluding to hidden manipulations behind the scenes.
