SHILLONG: National People’s Party (NPP) Meghalaya State President and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has downplayed the resignation of party co-founder and former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. W.R. Kharlukhi, describing it as a routine part of Meghalaya’s dynamic political landscape.

Tynsong emphasized that such changes in party affiliation are common and not extraordinary, noting that senior leaders often step down from their parent parties and join other outfits.
