Shillong, October 04: The Jingiaseng Kynthei KJP Synod Sepngi today organised a Food Fest to raise funds for various ongoing community and church-related projects. The event, held as part of the group’s social outreach initiatives, was inaugurated by Pynthorumkhrah MLA A.L. Hek.

Speaking on the occasion, AL Hek lauded the efforts of the Jingiaseng Kynthei KJP Synod Sepngi for their dedication to community service and charitable work. He emphasised that serving others is a shared responsibility that goes beyond individual or community boundaries. “We must serve not only our nation and people but all of humanity. We should be children who recognise both human and divine values,” he said.

He further commended for their initiatives in supporting schools, counselling programmes, and other welfare activities, describing them as examples of genuine service. “It is our moral duty to help and uplift one another, especially those who face challenges in their families or communities,” he added.

Highlighting the importance of collective responsibility, the MLA said that problems in society or within the Church should not be ignored. “We must stand together, share the burden, and work for the common good,” he remarked.
