SHILLONG: Convenor of the Budget Publicity Campaign for the North East and Member of the Bihar Legislative Council, Devesh Kumar, called on Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai at the Meghalaya State Secretariat during his visit to Shillong on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kumar said that the Union Budget contains several major provisions aimed at benefiting youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs. He described the budget as a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen the national economy and accelerate overall growth.
Highlighting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “Viksit Bharat,” Kumar said the budget represents an important step toward transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.
He added that the financial roadmap focuses on inclusive development, employment generation, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic stability.
“The budget is designed to empower every section of society and build a strong foundation for a developed India,” Kumar said.
Kumar further informed that a nationwide public outreach campaign will soon be launched to create awareness about the key features and benefits of the budget.
As part of the initiative, party workers and representatives will engage with citizens across the country to explain how various provisions support inclusive growth and national development.
“The objective is to ensure that people understand how the budget will directly benefit them and contribute to the country’s progress,” he added.
