SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has assured the public that the law and order situation in the state remains under control, despite lingering tensions from recent incidents.
Following the petrol bomb attack on Laban Police Station, Sangma emphasized the government’s commitment to peace and warned that violence will not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister stated that law enforcement agencies are taking strict action against those found responsible, and reiterated that legal processes will be followed.

He noted that security personnel have already been deployed in large numbers and that the government is prepared to send additional forces if needed to maintain stability.
Sangma urged all stakeholders to resolve issues through constructive dialogue rather than confrontation, and reaffirmed his administration’s ongoing engagement with various groups to address concerns and maintain tranquillity across the state.
