SHILLONG: In yet another incident reflecting the rising cases of theft across the city, two miscreants reportedly broke into a residence at Jaiaw Lansonalane around 12:30 pm on Friday. The duo allegedly made away with cash, a television set, a newly purchased dhara, and even the children’s piggy bank.
Alert residents managed to apprehend one of the suspects, while the other escaped after committing a similar theft in another house.
The apprehended suspect was later handed over to Lumdiengjri Police Station for further investigation.
