BENGALURU: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Bengaluru Unit has expressed its deep condolences following the untimely demise of a young woman from Meghalaya who was found dead in her rented accommodation in Hebbal.
The deceased, hailing from Pynursla block of East Khasi Hills, was discovered yesterday evening between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Reports indicate that the woman had been residing in the apartment with her alleged boyfriend, identified as Nawaz Sharif, a native of Manipur.
While the incident is currently being treated as a suspicious death, authorities are investigating multiple angles, including the possibilities of both suicide and homicide. Police officials have stated that they are not ruling out any potential leads as the forensic investigation continues.
In the immediate aftermath of the discovery, members of the KSU Bengaluru Unit arrived at the scene to provide support to the deceased’s friends and assist with the necessary formalities. In an official statement, the Union urged local law enforcement to conduct a fair, transparent, and exhaustive investigation to ensure that the truth behind the tragedy is uncovered.
