SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) MLA Olan Sing Suin of Mawsynram has categorically dismissed reports that nine UDP legislators are planning to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeling the rumors as “complete fake news.”
Speaking to reporters, Suin said he had no knowledge of any such movement and criticized the media for spreading unverified speculation.
Suin clarified that his recent visit to Delhi, along with other UDP members, was solely to discuss pending state development issues with Union Home Minister Amit Shah—a routine engagement for elected representatives.
