BHUBANESWAR: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) successfully hosted the 8th Business Excellence Summit (BES) 2026, centered on the theme “Building Resilient Businesses – Navigating Risk to Shape A Sustainable Future.”
The two-day event brought together industry leaders, faculty, students, and alumni to discuss resilience, leadership, technology, ESG, AI, and risk management.
The summit opened with a lamp-lighting ceremony and addresses by Dr. Biswa Swarup Misra and Dr. Fr. K.S. Casimir, S.J., who emphasized collaboration and the human edge in building resilient organizations. The launch of the magazines Echoes and Unnayan also marked the inaugural session.

Keynote speakers included Mr. Sandeep Bagla, CEO, TRUST Mutual Fund, who unveiled the 4A Framework—Anticipate, Absorb, Adapt, and Accelerate—and Mr. Himanshu Routray, Director, JLL India, who underscored the importance of risk management, continuous upskilling, and ethics in resilient careers.
Panel discussions featured industry experts such as Mr. Srinivas Baratam, Mr. Jaydeep Chakraborty, and Ms. Priyanka Ghosh, delving into topics like leadership for the long term, technological transformation, ESG, sustainable value creation, and risk management.
Q&A sessions allowed students to engage directly with speakers on AI, innovation, ESG, entrepreneurship, and risk.
The summit concluded with the felicitation of dignitaries, reaffirming BES 2026’s commitment to fostering adaptable, responsible, and resilient organizations for an unpredictable future.
