The felicitation ceremony, held at the Police Reserve, Jail Road, celebrated the commitment of officers who often work long hours in challenging weather conditions to keep the city’s roads moving.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vivek Syiem commended the initiative as a motivating step, praising the dedication of traffic police and Home Guards involved in traffic management.
SP Syiem acknowledged the demanding nature of their duties, citing frequent criticism and verbal abuse from motorists and even individuals claiming political influence.
