NEW DELHI: The Delhi Unit of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) extended swift assistance to a young boy from Meghalaya who collapsed in the national capital and was found in a critical condition, ensuring his safety and medical care.

Upon receiving information about the incident, members of the KSU Delhi Unit immediately rushed to the spot and took charge of the situation. Although the boy’s family had already lodged an FIR with the authorities, officials at the scene reportedly handed over the responsibility of the matter to the KSU members once they arrived.

Following his discharge, the boy has been accommodated at Meghalaya House in New Delhi, where he is currently safe and awaiting the arrival of his family from Shillong, who are expected to take him back home.

KSU Delhi Unit President Marbiang Khongwir expressed gratitude to Dr Arshan Khongwir for his timely intervention and support at the hospital, which played a crucial role in managing the situation and ensuring proper care for the boy.

Reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of the community, the Khasi Students’ Union said it would continue to stand by members of the Khasi community in times of distress and extend all possible assistance whenever required.
