SHILLONG: A coal-laden truck (ML 07 C 4844) overturned near Lad Mawprem in Jaiaw Langsning at around 2:50 AM on Friday.
CCTV footage from the area captured the incident, after which the driver reportedly fled the site.

The truck has since been moved to Garikhana.
It remains unclear whether the coal was being transported legally, as details about the vehicle’s ownership, origin, and transport documentation are still under verification.
