SHILLONG: The Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Meghalaya, will organize the second edition of the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM 2.0) on October 8 and 9 at the State Convention Centre, aiming to connect the state’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with domestic and international buyers.
Commissioner and Secretary C.V.D. Diengdoh announced the event, which is part of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative and held in partnership with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
Meghalaya currently has nearly 98,000 registered MSMEs.
Around 22 international buyers from countries including Bangladesh, Canada, the US, Uganda, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, the UK, and Kenya, as well as several domestic buyers, have confirmed participation.

Key sectors to be showcased include food processing, honey, handloom, black pottery, handicrafts, wood and stone carving, wellness, and water hyacinth products.
Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will inaugurate the two-day event, which will also feature an MSME product exhibition.
The department urged local MSMEs to register and leverage the platform to explore new markets, grow their businesses, and contribute to Meghalaya’s economic development.
