SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving public concerns through dialogue, even as tensions persist following a recent petrol bomb attack.
Sangma dismissed suggestions of a deadlock, stressing that the administration remains open to talks with groups such as the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) and is actively addressing issues raised by various stakeholders.
The Chief Minister underscored that while dialogue is the preferred path for conflict resolution, the government will take uncompromising legal action against anyone who resorts to violence or illegal acts.
